Multibyte Mail for WordPress
The Multibyte Mail plugin replaces the wp_mail() function with one that tries to encode the usual email message headers that might contain 8-bit data. It should work well with the core WordPress code as well as any plugins, unless the plugin is sending out some unusual headers.
If you receive bounces for comments on articles with 8-bit (or multibyte) characters in their title (or in the name of the comment author), this plugin should prove helpful. (more…)

Suomenkielinen WordPress 2.0.5
Onkohan 50 bugikorjausta nykyään uuden version julkaisun rajapyykki? Ainakin se varmasti on erittäin hyvä syy julkaista uusi WordPression versio 2.0.5 ja varsin houkuttava syy oman blogin päivittämiseen!
Versiosta 2.0.4 voi päivittää uuteen helposti kopioimalla uuden version tiedostot vanhan version tiedostojen päälle. Ensimmäinen vierailu ylläpitosivuille pyytää vielä ajamaan päivitysrutiinin. Varman päälle pelaavat käyttävät päivitykseen pitkää kaavaa. (jatkuu…)

Suomenkielinen WordPress 2.0.4
Tällä kertaa löysin suomenkielisen WordPressin paketointiin aikaa heti englanninkielisen version julkistuksen jälkeen.
Uusi versio sisältää taas tietoturvaan liittyviä parannuksia, joten päivitykseen uhratut minuutit kannattavat. (jatkuu…)
