Thanks, Hiroko-san! I think I will. The car just passed its registration inspection in Finland, and required only minor modifications (yellow parking lights in the front had to be replaced with white ones).
Now I just have to wait a couple more weeks to get the license plates, as they had to be ordered in a special smaller size to fit the U.S.-sized mountings. However, in the mean time I can keep driving with the customs issued transit tags.
